I started Beyond the Fine Print because I realized that despite the progress society has made, many stereotypes, biases, and misconceptions about women continue to persist in ways that often go unnoticed. These ideas are embedded in everyday conversations, social expectations, media narratives, and even the opportunities available to people.
As I learned more about gender issues, I found that many discussions were either oversimplified or inaccessible to those who wanted to understand them better. At the same time, I saw how a lack of awareness can allow harmful assumptions to continue unchallenged. I believed there was a need for a space that encourages people to look beyond surface-level narratives and engage with these topics through knowledge, reflection, and meaningful dialogue.
Beyond the Fine Print was created to make information more accessible, promote informed conversations, and challenge stereotypes through research, writing, and advocacy. My goal is not only to raise awareness but also to encourage critical thinking about the social structures, expectations, and experiences that continue to shape the lives of women around the world.
I believe advocacy matters because lasting change begins with understanding. When people have access to knowledge and diverse perspectives, they are better equipped to question assumptions, challenge inequality, and contribute to a more equitable society. Through this platform, I hope to help create those opportunities for learning, conversation, and growth.
